Every cryptocurrency listed on the Kinesis platform runs on its own blockchain network, but for ERC-20 tokens specifically - such as ETH, USDT, USDC (ERC-20), and C1USD (ERC-20)* - Kinesis only supports deposits made via the Ethereum network.
Other blockchains that also support ERC-20 tokens are not supported by Kinesis. Depositing via one of these networks won't just fail to arrive correctly and will result in costly fees to recover.
Depositing ERC-20 tokens from other blockchains, including Solana, Polygon and Binance Chain, will result in the loss of your assets. Recovering them requires a 5 KAU fee.
To ensure your deposit succeeds and avoid this fee, only use the Ethereum blockchain when depositing ERC-20 assets to Kinesis.
*For certain tokens, such as USDC and C1USD, Kinesis supports both the Stellar and ERC-20 blockchains. However, these blockchains are not interchangeable when sending or receiving these currencies on the Kinesis platform.
