Move KVT into the Kinesis account

Move KVT into your Kinesis account from external wallet, or request KVT by email.

Before depositing, you'll need to verify your identity.

The video shows an earlier version of the Kinesis platform and is being updated. The process itself is unchanged.

KVTs are Stellar tokens, so your Stellar-compatible wallet needs enough XLM to cover network fees. You can buy XLM on the Kinesis Exchange, or through the Buy/Sell widget on your Home dashboard.

Note for ERC-20 KVT holders: Since the KVT migration to Stellar on 17 February 2025, ERC-20 KVTs in external wallets cannot be transferred or used. If you still hold ERC-20 KVTs a wallet you haven’t linked, link your external KVT addresses to your Kinesis account to complete the upgrade to Stellar.

 

Move KVT into the Kinesis account

Step 1: Click on the ⠿ Menu in the top-right corner to open the drop-down and select the Receive option.

Alternatively, open the Assets tab in the left-hand navigation panel, select the KVT tile from the top navigation bar, then choose Receive from the KVT Options drop-down.

Step 2: When sending KVT into the Kinesis platform, make sure to select the Stellar network and include the Memo or Destination tag if one is shown. Without the right details, your KVT may not reach your account.

Kinesis accepts KVT on the Stellar network only. KVT sent on any other blockchain can’t be sent or traded on the Kinesis platform, and can only be recovered for a fee of 5 KAU. See our Asset Recovery Policy for full details.

Step 3: The pop-up window shows your Kinesis deposit address. Click the address to copy it, or share it by email.

 


 

Request KVT by email

Request KVT from another Kinesis user with just their email address.

Step 1: Open Receive from the ⠿ Menu in the top-right corner of you Kinesis dashboard. 

You can also find Receive under KVT Options menu in the Assets tab.

Step 2: In the pop-up window, enter the email address of the person you’re requesting KVT from.

Step 3: Enter the amount you want to receive. You can also include a short message to the recipient.

Step 4: Review the summary - asset, amount and recipient - and click Request to send your message.
