USD Deposits with the Pegasus Wallet

Pegasus, a global mobile wallet, provides US-based Kinesis users with an efficient and low-cost method for depositing and withdrawing US dollars on the Kinesis platform.

In our step-by-step video guide, you’ll learn how to create, verify, and fund your Pegasus wallet, then securely deposit your USD into your Kinesis account.

Note: Although you can deposit USD and hold it in your Kinesis portfolio, fiat (cash) currencies cannot be used directly for trading, sending, or spending via card on the platform. Creating your Pegasus Wallet

Step 1: Enrol

To create your free Pegasus Wallet, visit the Pegasus website and select the Enrol option in the top right corner.

For security reasons, please disconnect from your VPN before activating your account.

Pegasus operates in 15 languages, allowing you to choose your preferred option for a seamless experience.

Step 2: Account Information

1. Select your country from the dropdown menu. 

Note that currently, Kinesis only supports deposits from US-based users, with global availability planned in the coming months.

2. Enter your first name, last name and username (minimum of six characters).
3. Provide your telephone number with the country code.
4. Create a strong password that includes:
   • At least one lowercase and one uppercase letter
   • At least one number (0-9)
   • At least one special character (!#$%^&*~?_)
   • Minimum of eight characters

5. Create your security question and security answer. This will allow our support team to verify your identity quickly during a call.

6. Set up a PIN number. This will be necessary for easy access to your Pegasus Wallet when logging in.

7. Enter the email address that will be associated with your Pegasus Wallet.

We recommend that you use the same email that is associated with your Kinesis account.

8. Provide your manually written signature.

Note that before proceeding, you must agree to the Pegasus Wallet Terms of Use, E-Sign Agreement, and Privacy Policy, by ticking the box.

Congratulations! You've just created your Pegasus Wallet!

Step 3: Log in to Pegasus

1. Now you can sign up using your Username and Password.

2. As you enter your details, we’ll send a one-time 6-digit code to the number you’ve provided.

3. Once you've entered the code, you'll gain access to your Pegasus wallet.

From here, you can fund (load) your wallet from a US-based bank account.

You'll be able to deposit and withdraw USD to and from your Kinesis account.

Note that to access all benefits of Pegasus, including funding your wallet and depositing funds to Kinesis, you must first verify your identity.

Verifying your Identity

Verifying your identity allows your mobile wallet account to have a balance greater than $1000. 

This also enables you to link a US banking or savings account, allowing deposits and withdrawals.

 The validation is free of charge and does not affect your credit.

Step 1: Provide Your Details

• Enter your current residential address, including city, country, province/region, and postal code.
• Provide your Social Security Number (SSN).
• Enter your date of birth in the format MM-DD-YYYY.

Step 2: Submit Your Details

Once you’ve reviewed your details, simply click Verify Identity.

Verification can take up to 2-3 business days, though in most cases, it should not take longer than a few hours.

Funding your Pegasus Wallet

Before depositing funds into your Kinesis account, you’ll first need to load your Pegasus wallet with USD. 

You can fund your wallet via a transfer from your US bank account or by using a credit or debit card.

If you choose to load funds via a bank debit card, the cost is just $1.00 with the amount instantly reflected in your mobile wallet balance.

Alternatively, you can receive funds in real time from another Pegasus wallet user or even use the balance of your virtual gift card.

Step 1: Link your US bank account

1. From your dashboard, go to the Wallet tab in the top-left corner.
2. Select Manage Linked Accounts, then choose US Bank Account.

3. Click Add New Checking/Savings Account, then follow the prompt by selecting Please click here to access to begin linking your US bank account to your Pegasus mobile wallet.

4. You’ll be redirected to a secure Plaid pop-up window. Agree to Plaid’s Privacy Policy and click Continue.

Pegasus uses Plaid to connect your bank account safely, without sharing sensitive login details.

5. Enter your mobile number (with country code), choose your US bank, and log in using your online banking credentials.
6. You will then be prompted to verify your identity with your US bank. Enter your mobile number, receive the verification code sent to your phone, then complete the process by entering your 4-digit PIN and clicking Submit.

7. Agree to the Terms & Conditions and click Connect account information.

Once verified, your bank account will be securely linked with your Pegasus wallet, enabling seamless USD transfers into your Pegasus wallet via ACH.

Step 2: Load your Pegasus wallet

Once your US bank account is linked, you can easily load funds into your Pegasus wallet via ACH transfer:

1. Go to the Wallet tab in the top left of your Pegasus dashboard and select Load Money just below.
2. In the Load Money From field, select your linked US bank account from the dropdown list.
3. Enter the following details carefully:
   1. CVV number from your debit card (if applicable)
   2. Pegasus Mobile Wallet PIN (set during account creation)
   3. USD amount you wish to load
4. Include a transaction note for reference and sign using the signature provided during account setup, then Confirm the transaction to complete your ACH deposit.

Your funds will now be on their way to your Pegasus wallet balance. Once received, you’re ready to deposit USD into your Kinesis account.

Depositing USD to Kinesis

Before depositing funds into Kinesis, you’ll need to load your Pegasus wallet with USD. 

Step 1: Transfer USD to Kinesis wallet

For a seamless and secure USD deposit into your Kinesis account, we recommend sending your funds directly to the Kinesis wallet on the Pegasus platform.

To transfer your USD to Kinesis:

1. Navigate to the Wallet Hub in the top-left corner of your Pegasus dashboard.
    
2. Select the Send Money tab.
    
3. Within the Send Money tab, choose Mobile Wallet Account to proceed with the transfer.

Step 2: Log into your Kinesis account

1. Open a new tab on your computer and log into your Kinesis account.
2. From the Home dashboard, navigate to the drop-down menu in the top-right corner and select ‘Deposits’.

3. A deposit pop-up window will now appear. Select US Dollars as the currency and the United States as your preferred deposit location.

You will see the Kinesis' Pegasus wallet details, including:

• Wallet Provider
• Wallet Name
• Wallet Number
• Payment Reference

Keep the Deposit window open, as you’ll need these details for the next step.

Step 3: Fund your Kinesis account

1. Return to the ‘Send Money’ tab in your Pegasus wallet.
2. Copy the Kinesis wallet number from the Kinesis deposit window and paste it into the corresponding field in your Pegasus account, labelled as "Send to Mobile Number". 
3. In the ‘Description’ field, paste your Kinesis HIN number (e.g. KM12345678) as the Payment Reference.
4. Enter the amount of USD you wish to deposit.
5. For security, enter the 4-digit PIN you set up when creating your Pegasus account.

You can save the Kinesis wallet details for future use by selecting the "Add to favourites" checkbox.

Double-check all details to ensure accuracy before proceeding, then click Send Money to confirm your deposit.
