Kinesis users can easily purchase digital assets with a card directly from the Kinesis desktop platform.
To start, simply access the Buy/Sell widget on the right side of your Home dashboard, and click the Buy with card button. You’ll be then redirected to the asset purchase widget in a new window.
Kinesis cannot process transactions blocked by your banking or card provider.
Note: Depending on the cryptocurrency policy of their financial institution, users have experienced varying success while purchasing assets with this new functionality. We are providing a solution for our users, however, Kinesis has no control over whether a financial institution allows a user’s digital asset purchase to be processed.
Depending on the country and specific bank selected, the user may need to authorise the transaction within the secure browsing portal or their banking app.
In the instance your financial institution does not approve your purchase, you will be immediately notified, with no charge taken from your account. If this is the case, we recommend you try another debit card, credit card or bank transfer option - or opt for one of our existing deposit options.
Step 1: Select the currency to spend
First, select the local fiat currency you wish to make your purchase with. See the full list of accepted fiat currencies in this article.
Step 2: Select the purchase option
As you click the currency selection box, you will be shown available purchase methods, which include Credit/Debit Cards, Bank Transfers, Giropay, Skrill, Neteller - and more.
Note: purchasing options vary depending on your selected currency.
The instant ‘Purchase with card’ option supports Mastercard, Visa, as well as Google Pay and Apple Pay mobile wallets.
The ‘Debit/Credit Card’ purchase option is available globally, for all fiat currencies available via the feature.
Step 3: Select the currency to buy
Then, select the precious metal or cryptocurrency you’d like to buy, choosing from gold (KAU), silver (KAG) and most cryptocurrencies available on the Kinesis Exchange. For a full list of currencies available, see this article.
Enter the desired amount in either the ‘You spend’ or the ‘You receive’ field, then click 'Continue'.
Step 3: Complete the transaction
When you have selected the asset to buy, the fiat purchase method and the desired amount in either the ‘spend’ or ‘receive’ field, you will be able to review your transaction.
You will see the sale price, including the fees.
Step 4: Transaction Confirmation
Once the transaction has been settled, the amount of precious metals or cryptocurrency that you purchased will be paid into your personal wallet address for the specific asset.
You will receive an email confirmation if the transaction is successful.
