What is ‘send-to-email’?
The ‘send-to-email’ feature enables Kinesis users to send digital assets to other account holders, as well as outside of the Kinesis Monetary System, simply by using a recipient’s email address. This means that payments can be made to current users and those who are not yet registered on the Kinesis platform.
Do I need to be a Kinesis account holder to receive funds using the send-to-email feature?
Send-to-email funds transfers can be sent to everyone within the Kinesis Monetary System, as well as outside of the system (e.g. to potential new users), as long as the sender knows the recipient's email address.
However, to accept transfers and receive sent funds, the recipient is required to create an account within the Kinesis Monetary System. The recipient is forwarded to the sign-up page, at the moment of accepting the transfer, by clicking the link in the email.
Upon signing up to the Kinesis platform, the receiver is deemed as referred by the sender.
What cryptocurrencies can I transfer with ‘send-to-email’?
With ‘send-to-email’, users can transfer Kinesis' native gold (KAU) and silver (KAG), Kinesis Velocity Token (KVT) and all cryptocurrencies available on the Kinesis Exchange:
Bitcoin (BTC), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Ethereum (ETH), Litecoin (LTC), Tether (USDT), USD Coin (USDC), XinFin (XDC), Stellar (XLM) & Ripple (XRP).
In the future, additional cryptocurrencies will be added.
Please note that the withdrawal fee for the Kinesis Velocity Token (KVT) is charged in Ethereum (ETH).
Can I send fiat currencies via email?
No, the ‘send-to-email’ function is built specifically for the transfer of cryptocurrencies. This means that transferring fiat is not possible using the ‘send-to-email’ function.
Can I still send to ‘Contact’, ‘Wallet’, and ‘Address’?
Yes, you can still send crypto via other sending options available on the Kinesis platform. However, ‘send-to-email’ is a faster alternative for users, since it requires minimal information about the recipient.
Can I receive a Referrer’s Yield by inviting new users to Kinesis?
Through the ‘send-to-email’ feature, the existing account holders will be able to invite new, potential users onto the Kinesis platform, making the sender automatically eligible to receive the Referrer’s Yield.
If a recipient, who did not previously hold a Kinesis account, accepts the funds and creates an account, the sender becomes eligible for the Referrer’s Yield.
The Referrer’s Yield entitles the sender to a 7.5% share of every single one of the referee’s Kinesis transaction fees.
Additionally, both referrers and their onboarded referees can be rewarded with unlimited silver in the Kinesis Referral Rewards program.
