With TradingView integrated into the Kinesis Pro exchange, it’s easy to trade precious metals and cryptocurrencies using their range of chart interface options, technical indicators and annotation tools.
These trading tools and options include:
- A range of charting interfaces: candlesticks, bars, columns and line
- Technical indicators
- Drawing tools
You can use the TradingView charting library to create a customised interface to fit your strategy. Here’s how to use these charts on Kinesis Pro:
How to use TradingView's charts
To open the TradingView charting interface, first log into the Kinesis platform. Then, select the Exchange tab in the left-hand navigation and the asset you want to trade from the dropdown menu.
The charting interface provides traders with an extended library of advanced trading tools available without signing into TradingView directly. The interface also displays metrics of the asset you're trading, including the Bid and Ask prices, the spread, the last price and the 24-hour trading volumes.
The trading tools are accessible in two options on Kinesis Pro; Classic and Full-Screen - both offering customisable layouts.
Charting Options
Candlestick charts show the price movements of an asset and display the high, low, open, and closing prices for a specific period.
For each asset, you can view the 1-day, 5-day, 1-month, 3-month, 6-month and 1-year timescales by selecting the “5m” icon in the top left.
Multiple chart timeframes are also available on the charting interface, with each asset offering 5-minute, 15-minute, 1-hour, 4-hour and 1-day charts. Each time frame is customisable to your preference.
Additionally, by selecting the Candle on the toolbar, users can view each asset using bars, candles, hollow candles, columns, lines, by area, baseline and high-low.
They can be customised by double-clicking on any of the candles in the TradingView interface or selecting the chart settings option. Traders can modify the candle colour and appearance of the chart alongside alternative scales and metrics available to change.
Technical indicators
Technical indicators are insights traders use based on key metrics such as the price or volume of an asset. Technical indicators can be mainly used to analyse market performance, providing a more balanced insight into the asset and helping the trader make more informed decisions.
To open the indicator selection menu, select the “Indicators” button on the top toolbar. From there, a dropdown menu will show all the indicators available. The most commonly used technical indicators include the Relative Strength Index (RSI), Moving Averages and Bollinger Bands®.
Drawing tools
With TradingView's array of drawing tools, you can make detailed notes and add comments to any chart on Kinesis Pro. Traders can also highlight the latest trends and patterns, make predictions and calculate price levels.
They are located on the left panel of the chart, with the tools found in seven groups.
The most commonly used is “Trend lines”, which allow users to mark the direction of movement and price levels on a chart. Forecasting and measurement tools are also commonly used and can be used to predict price movement and evaluate trading positions.
Traders can annotate and add comments directly to the chart, allowing users to make informed trading decisions based on the technical analysis tools available. Icons such as emojis, stickers and various decorative tools can also be added to your chart to highlight any specific level or movement you wish to analyse.
Kinesis leverages Trading View technology for its market quotes, displaying them through advanced charts. This integration offers a comprehensive suite of analytical tools for monitoring cryptocurrency prices and gaining access to the latest market insights.
