How do I apply for a Kinesis card?
The Kinesis Virtual Card comes as a part of the Kinesis Individual* account offering. You will be given the option to apply for your card as you register yourself with Kinesis. All you need to do is simply click the confirmation button and then complete the short cardholder verification process.
You will also be given the option to opt out of the Kinesis Virtual Card during the initial Kinesis Individual account verification process, although opting out means that you won't be able to fully benefit from the entire Kinesis offering.
Additionally, you can choose to apply for a card at any given moment through the Virtual Card tab in your Kinesis account. The option is available on both desktop and mobile.

How to verify my Kinesis Virtual Card?
As you apply for the Kinesis Virtual Card, you’ll be asked to provide some basic information about yourself, such as your telephone number, address and source of funds, to confirm your identity as a cardholder.
For most applicants, the automated card verification process only takes a few minutes. However, in some instances, you might be asked to provide us with additional details, on behalf of our card-issuing partner. This identity verification policy has been established to comply with tightening anti-fraud regulations and to ensure the optimal protection of all your assets.
How do I set up and activate my Kinesis Virtual Card?
Your virtual card will be ready for immediate use via the Kinesis mobile app as soon as it’s issued and you have verified your identity as a cardholder. You will receive a confirmation email once your card application has been approved.
Activating your Kinesis Virtual Card consists of a few simple steps. Once you are successfully verified as a cardholder, you’ll be forwarded to the activation screen where you have to:
- Enter the SMS 2FA code sent to your mobile number.
- Review your contact details.
- Click on the Terms & Conditions checkbox and press CONTINUE.
Do I need to manually add funds to my card?
No. Your global Kinesis Virtual Card is directly linked to your Kinesis Individual account, which means that you don’t need to top-up your card as long as you have funds in your Kinesis account.
